Earlier this month, Asa wrote a letter to Santa asking him to play fetch with him on Christmas Eve. He has since read somewhere that humans remember things better when put to a tune of a song. So here is Asa’s musical reminder to Santa of his little Christmas request, along with a few other gifts I added. Our sincere apologies to Eartha Kitt and the original “Santa Baby.” Paws crossed, Asa’s plan works!
Santa Paws, just slip a squeaky under the tree, for me
Been an awful good dog
Santa Paws, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa Paws, 54 Nylabones to chew, or more
I’ll wait up for you dear
Santa Paws, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Think of all the fun I missed
Think of all the stuffies that Chuck Billy ripped
Next year I could be squeaking them all
If you’ll check off my Christmas list
Santa Paws, I want a ball, and that’s not all
Been an angel all year
Santa Paws, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa Paws, one little thing I really need, more treats
Perhaps a box or two
Santa Paws, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa Paws, and fill my stocking with a new Chuck-It
And balls
To play a game of fetch too
Santa Paws, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Come and play fetch with me
With some decorations off the Christmas tree
I really do believe in you
Let’s see if you believe in me
Santa Paws, don’t forget a gift that’s a breeze,
Fetch please!
You’ve been working so hard
Santa Paws, so hurry down the chimney tonight
For a game of fetch tonight!
Fetch, tonight!
