Springing into Action

Yesterday started out as another cold and dreary morning here. So I decided it was about time I take matters into my own paws. No more waiting around. I was going to spring into action to tell Mother Nature once and for all winter was over! And to politely remind Angel Chuck Billy to put away the snow making machine until next winter. It is time for spring!

To enact my plan, before sunrise I took Mom’s wool mitten, and headed to the yard. I was going to say goodbye to winter before the day began. In case you’re wondering, no I did not put that hole in the mitten. It’s just worn from holding our leashes on years of winter walks.

I then proceeded to do a snow angel happy dance, rolling on top of the old mitten. My intention was to thank Mother Nature for the snow she and Chuck Billy sent this winter, but to send the message that the time for snow angels has passed.

Then after sunrise (and a hearty breakfast), I returned to the yard with the most colorful toy I could find. This was to remind Mother Nature of how colorful spring should be. No more gray! We need flowers! Green leaves! Or at least grass and not this dead stuff in my yard.

I began to dance and squeak with reckless abandon! Ok, so I may not have put the hole in the mitten, but the one in the toy was totally my fault.

I then went inside to wait. Finally, by afternoon my efforts paid off! The sun did return!

Sometimes it takes springing into action to get the job done!
