Squeaking, I Love Playing Fetch!

Alright, I admit it, Asa and I dropped the ball on Mother’s Day. Not literally like on the off chance I miss catching the ball playing fetch. I mean figuratively. We didn’t get Mom a Mother’s Day gift. I blame Dad, because he hid the credit card from us after that last incident. He claims he ordered Mom the “best” gift ever. But that remains to be seen, because we’ve yet to see it be delivered. Therefore to distract her from traditional Mother’s Day gifts, we decided to give Mom an “experience” instead. We celebrated the best way we know how by playing our favorite game of fetch. And as an added bonus, Asa sang this parody of “I Love Rock ‘n Roll” to remind Mom how lucky she is to play with us!

I saw Mom sitting there by the television
I knew she must have been bored again
I wanted to play my game
Wasting the day’s a shame
And I could tell it wouldn’t be long till she was with me, yeah me
And I could tell it wouldn’t be long till she was with me, yeah me

Squeaking, I love playing fetch
So throw another ball in the backyard, Mommy
I love playing fetch
So come and grab a ball and play with me, Ow!

She smiled, so I got up and squeaked my ball
That TV didn’t matter, cause it was all about me
She said, “Can I take you out
Where we can play some fetch?”
And next we were playing ball, she was with me, yeah me
Next we were playing ball, she was with me, yeah me

Squeaking, I love playing fetch
So throw another ball in the backyard, Mommy
I love playing fetch
So come and grab a ball and play with me, Ow!

She said, “Can I take you out
Where we can play some fetch?”
Next we’re playing ball, she was with me, yeah me
And we’ll be playing ball and singing that same old song, yeah with me

Squeaking, I love playing fetch
So throw another ball in the backyard, Mommy
I love playing fetch
So come and grab a ball and play with me!

I love playing fetch
So throw another ball in the backyard, Mommy
I love playing fetch
So come and grab a ball and play with me!

Who needs a guitar solo, when you can have a squeaky ball solo!
