Stolen Time

Sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday morning someone or something stole an hour of our time. This senseless crime has disrupted the schedules of dogs across the country. Yes, we need to save daylight time. But not for the reasons that they want you to think! This isn’t about sunlight! This is about a far more sinister thief. This sounds like a case for Detective Chuck Billy!

Now a rookie detective would immediately assume that Aliens are responsible for this missing hour of time. However, not only am I a detective, I am a Dog Ufologist, and I can assure you that isn’t the case. Although their UFOs are not to be trusted, there is a far more malevolent culprit here. A culprit who by it’s unassuming ways sneaks into all of our lives, and quietly steals precious time from each of us.

I blame the internet for stealing one hour from us each year! Day in and day out innocent victims after scrolling through social media or watching just one more video on YouTube will proclaim, “Well that’s 5 minutes I’ll never get back!” It all adds up, my friends. It all adds up. Leaving no choice but to hide our shame by springing forward in the wee hours of the night every March.

Now I have bravely offered to go into the dark web to locate that missing time and return it everyone. However, Mom and Dad said that is no place for a Golden Retriever, and there are things there they really don’t want to have to explain to me later. I suppose they’re right. After all some things can never be unseen, and isn’t that the problem that got us here in the first place? So here is my call to action for everyone to stop this time thief – Put down your phones, log off your computers, and play with your dog! This way together we can end this senseless loss of time and save daylight for better pursuits.

Hear that eye-catching GIFs, viral videos, amusing memes, and trending hashtags, we’re not going to let you steal our precious daylight time anymore!
