Attention dogs, this is your opportunity to help cats in need while having a great time at the 21st Annual Strut for Strays Walk, Run and Festival in Newbury, Massachusetts. The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s annual fundraiser will take place this Sunday, May 22, 2016, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, on Newbury’s Upper Green (High Road, Route 1A). Well behaved dogs on leash are invited to participate in the 5K race which will begin at 10:45 AM and the 5K walk which steps off at 12:30 PM. In addition to the walk and run through picturesque Newbury, Massachusetts, there will be cool pet merchandise, crafts, petting zoo, food, beverages, music, performers, activities and games!
All proceeds to benefit the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s important work to help fund medical care, food, shelter and other services for local homeless and abandoned cats and kittens. Since their founding in 1992, the MRFS has assisted over 106,000 cats through their adoption, feral clinic, Catmobile and other programs, and have assisted countless cat owners and other groups.
