Mark your calendar, it’s time for a road trip to Vermont for the Summer Dog Party at Dog Mountain! Located in St Johnsbury, VT, and hosted by the Stephen Huneck Gallery, the Summer Dog Party will be taking place on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM. The event kicks off with a barbecue at Noon, followed by music and dancing (and swimming, of course!) by upper pond. Other festivities include dog contests for best swimmer, best trick, best dancer, biggest paws, smallest paws, and biggest begger. There’s even a dog and human look alike contest! For the complete list of contests and activities, please visit dogmt.com. Admission is free for dogs and their human friends, but donations are always welcome to help maintain this dog paradise. There will be a nominal fee for the barbecue.
Dog Mountain is home to 150 acres of meadows, trails, swimming ponds, Dog Chapel and the Stephen Huneck Gallery. The Dog Park and Chapel are free and always open to the public. Dogs are welcome to run off-leash, play, swim, hike and best of all meet other dogs! Several times a year the Stephen Huneck Gallery on Dog Mountain hosts Dog Parties with hundreds of people and dogs in attendance. For more information, and to plan your visit, go to Dog Mountain.
