Thank You from Asa

Thank you for all of your outpouring of love and positive energy for my surgery yesterday! It was truly humbling to know that you all were keeping Dr. Doug, my family, and me in your thoughts and prayers. Thank You! The surgery went great and I’m home now! I had a peaceful night’s sleep, and although I’m still a bit slow moving this morning, I enjoyed my breakfast and I’m starting to feel like myself again. Although I do admit I’m a bit embarrassed by the odd haircut they gave me yesterday. If you thought the back of Dad’s head looked weird from when he cut it himself, you should see the haircut I have now! But my fur will all grow back.

I had 5 worrisome lumps removed, and they have been sent out for testing. Golden Retrievers are prone to lumps and bumps, and not all need to be removed. But if you find one, be sure to let your veterinarian look at it, and come up with a plan to monitor it.

Thank you again for all your love, prayers and positive energy! Your support really meant a lot to me and my family. I’m going to have a quiet day today while I rest and recover. So I may not be able to respond to each of your messages. However, please know I’m holding all of you near and dear to my heart!

Love Your Friend, Asa

Please excuse me for not smiling, I’m still feeling a bit groggy. But I didn’t want to disappoint anyone on Tongue Out Tuesday, so Chuck Billy is filling in for me with his big grin. I promise I’ll be back to being happy goofy little me again soon. Thank You!!!!
