They say, “You are what you eat.” They also say, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” However, I want to know what “they” would say about the current cookie confusion in our home. As you may recall back in January, Dad had the awkward experience of attempting to eat one of MY dog treats. It wasn’t his fault. He was confused because the dog treat looked just like a cookie made for humans.
Well now it is my turn to be confused. Mom returned from the grocery store with this box of Scooby Doo graham cracker cookies. The box has dogs’ iconic hero, Scooby Doo smiling on the front, and his catchphrase of “Ruh! Roh!” printed on the back. In addition, they are referred to as “snacks.” Everyone knows “Scooby Snacks” are Scooby Doo’s go-to treat during an investigation.
The cookies themselves are even in the shape of dog bones, which everyone knows is the shape reserved for dog treats. Humans don’t eat dog bones, dogs do!
Yet Mom insists these cookies are for humans and are NOT dog treats! Well if it looks like a dog treat, and smells like a dog treat, it is MY dog treat!
