The Final Meltdown

Asa here. As the countdown to getting my stitches out on Monday continues, I’d like to dedicate this parody of Europe’s “The Final Countdown” to my brother, Chuck Billy. For the past two weeks, I’ve been getting more attention than usual from Mom and Dad, which has made Chuck Billy rather jealous. Ok, very jealous. He’s thrown a few tantrums. So while we continue to wait for the lab results from my biopsies, I thought I’d write a new song to pass the time. I want to thank my dear friend, Daisy, for getting the original version of “The Final Countdown” stuck in my head for weeks now! So without further delay, here is the big debut of my newest song, “The Final Meltdown!” Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one….

They’re pettin’ my brother
But I’m far away
And maybe they’ll come back
To me, and go play?
I know there is someone to blame
He stole my spot (stole my spot)
Will I ever be petted again?

It’s the final meltdown
The final meltdown! Oh!

I’m poutin’ at the door (the door)
And still invisible
‘Cause they just don’t see me
And ignorin’ me now, yeah
With so many walks to go on
And balls to play fetch (to play fetch)
I’m sure that they all miss me more

It’s the final meltdown
The final meltdown
The final meltdown (final meltdown)
Oh! Oh!

The final meltdown! Oh!

It’s the final meltdown
The final meltdown
The final meltdown (final meltdown)
Oh! It’s the final meltdown
We’re playin’ together
(The final meltdown)
They all missed me more
It’s the final meltdown (final meltdown)
Oh!
It’s the final meltdown
Let’s play!!!!

Chuck Billy’s rebuttal: Opinions sung by Asa do not reflect that of Living with a Golden…honest! I’m not begging for attention…really!
