Confession of a Bromance

Milo is the most interesting dog in our neighborhood.  Heck, in the world even!  I’m sure by now you’ve seen those beer commercials for the Most Interesting Man in the Universe.  Well if he doesn’t have a dog, he should consider my friend, Milo.

Milo is the coolest dog you’ll ever meet!  One minute he’ll be letting the neighbor’s toddler crawl all over him, and the next he’s hanging out with the coyotes in the woods.  Ok, so maybe he’s not actually hanging out with the coyotes, but I’ve seen him talking to squirrels.  To think he’d actually take time to talk with a squirrel rather than chase it!  That’s mind boggling!

Milo is also a master of disguises!  Back in the day, not once, but twice Milo disguised himself as my brother Lemmy, and managed to sneak into our home.  But don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t use these skills for evil.  He’s just a practical joker.

Milo is a crime fighter!  You can find him on any given day protecting our neighborhood from unwanted intruders.  Whether it be a jogger, the mailman, or just someone he doesn’t recognize, Milo will appear out of nowhere and interrogate you if he feels you are up to no good.  We can all rest easy with Milo on duty.

Milo is an athlete!  He has the best eye mouth coordination I have ever seen.  He can catch a tennis ball at full sprint!  And he never drops it, nor lets it roll beyond his grasp outside of our fence.  Yet he is considerate of others, and from time to time would let my slower brother Lemmy get to the ball before him.  He even took the time to teach Asa how to play fetch.

Last but not least, Milo is mysterious!  No one really quite knows how he spends his days.  He has free roam of the cul-de-sac, but where does he go?  Being a dog of few words, he doesn’t reveal his secrets.  I’d like to think he’s on a quest to find the ultimate squeaky toy, but I may never know the truth.

Clearly Milo is the most interesting dog in the neighborhood!  He’s well mannered, a free spirit, a nanny, a watch dog, and an athlete all rolled into one Golden Retriever!  Ok I admit it, I have a bromance with Milo.  But please don’t tell him that!

No one can resist Milo, the Most Interesting Dog in the Neighborhood.
