The Unidentified Floating Object has landed again in Maine! I first reported about this mysterious ice disk appearing in the Presumpscot River in Westbrook, Maine in 2019. Well now it is back almost 3 years to the day! Local meteorologists would like you to believe that this Unidentified Floating Object is simply a natural phenomenon caused when a block of river ice breaks free and gets caught up in spinning currents. I, too, fell for this simplistic explanation, until I heard of research conducted at the University of Liege in Belgium. They found that “temperature changes in the water below a small ice disk could be the source of some of the rotational force. When the water cools to 39.2 degrees, it begins to sink and creates a vortex in the water, producing a small force that spins the ice.” Wait, did they say, “vortex?!” As you know from my previous posts on UFOs, Aliens can’t resist a good vortex. I even discovered one in my kitchen! Therefore, this isn’t a harmless ice disk, slowly spinning to mesmerize spectators flocking to see it, while entrepreneurs sell t-shirts. This unidentified floating object is a UFO! Nice try Aliens trying to hide it in plain sight by using the same initials!
Also I might add, this 300-foot-wide ice disk’s appearance in Westbrook is not a random coincidence either. Based on other strange phenomenon that have occurred in this suburb of Portland, I believe Westbrook is the epicenter of Weird Maine! Who could forget Wessie, the ginormous snake “as long as truck” with a “head the size of a soccer ball” frightening visitors to the Riverbank Park along the Presumpscot River in Westbrook in 2017? Or more recently what about in October of 2021 when a gravestone from 1840 was mysteriously found in the middle of a road in Westbrook. Gravestones just don’t appear in roads, these things are heavy! Better yet after researching the engraving, local police went to a nearby town to the plot of a person with the same name, but there was a marker already there! All this sounds like the plot of a novel by Maine native, Stephen King, and yet it isn’t!
The last time the ice disk appeared in Maine was during a Weird Week with an earthquake just north of Rangeley Lake, a meteor spotted over Ellsworth Harbor Park, and a Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse occurring that weekend. So as a renowned Dog Ufologist, I urge you to all stay alert because who knows what could happen this time around!
