Throwback Thursday – Kibble Caper

For this Throwback Thursday stroll down memory lane, we are hopping down the bunny trail. You may be surprised to hear despite being an awesome guard dog, Santa isn’t the only one who breaks into my home one night each year. The Easter Bunny does too! However, whereas Santa at least leaves presents, this mischievous bunny does something far more annoying. He plays with my food! So dogs, listen up! Let this be a warning to stay alert this weekend!

Kibble Caper (April 6, 2015)

Yesterday we were victims of a crime, and my parents could care less!  Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning a rabbit broke into our home and hid my kibble in various locations around the living room.  This is an outrage!  It’s bad enough that a rabbit was playing with my food, but it is even more upsetting that he managed to break in under my watch!

I can accept Asa being oblivious because it was just last week that he discovered he has a tail.  But how could I not notice this intruder?!  I don’t recall sleeping more soundly than usual.  Perhaps the sound of Dad’s snoring lulled me into a false sense of security?  Or maybe I was exhausted from puppy-sitting Asa all day? Either way, rest assured I won’t let this happen again!

Last night I stayed up all night and barked at even the slightest noise to warn that mischievous rabbit he wasn’t welcomed here.  I’m sure Mom and Dad are grateful for my efforts, although I must admit they look more tired than usual this morning.  Oh well, while they are at work I will sleep so I can continue protecting my family tonight.

I’m not sure why Chuck Billy is complaining? I thought the kibble hunt on Easter was fun!
