Throwback Thursday – Thrill of the Kill

The world could use more smiles and happy tail wags, and we have the perfect solution! Instead of promoting events as we normally do on Thursdays, we will begin a new weekly Throwback Thursday series sharing our earlier blog posts. These posts from Asa’s puppy days are guaranteed to make you smile as together we stroll down memory lane.

Today we begin with a post from February 2015, “Thrill of the Kill.” Everyone knows that Asa loves his stuffed animal friends and will not harm any of them. Well you can’t blame his lack of wolf instincts on me. As you can see in this video, I tried very hard to instill in him the importance of the hunt. However, as I watch it now, I can clearly see Asa was not taking it as serious as I thought. So without further ado, I hope you enjoy this post and video from 5 years ago…

I have to give Mom and Dad credit.  They’ve been doing a great job teaching Asa the fundamentals of sit, stay, come, and down.  But they aren’t teaching him the most important skill of all – hunting!  Clearly they just take for granted my hard work day in and day out protecting them from squeaky predators.  Well it is about time Asa earned his keep!  Here is a handy training video I made of Asa’s first kill.

Asa’s Editorial Note: For the record I was trying to save it, but realized I was no match for Chuck Billy.
