Thunderdome: Puppy vs. Cat

I know what you’re thinking.  Puppy sees cat, puppy chases cat.  But this is shockingly incorrect!  Let me introduce my kitty cousin, Misty, as our guest blogger to explain…

Since Chuck Billy first visited, we had an understanding.  I would tolerate his existence by having him chase me through my home, until inevitably he would get into trouble and be confined to the family room where I could safely taunt him from a distance.  Recently when Asa intruded on my peaceful kingdom, I assumed he had been instructed on the rules.  But much to my indignation he ignored me!  Cats have been worshiped for thousands of years since the days of the Egyptian Pharohs.  How could this inferior creature not do the same?

There I was poised ready for the chase so I could show off my sleek and agile superiority.  I was even hoping I could get his head stuck in the room divider like I did with Lemmy so many years ago.  Yet Asa didn’t even acknowledge me!  I understand puppies are easily distracted, therefore I thought I would help the simpleton by making my presence more obvious.  But yet he continued to ignore me!  Even Chuck Billy’s instructions, barked at Asa from the family room, didn’t clue him in on the proper etiquette.  Clearly there is something wrong with Asa!  Then again he is just a dog, and not a cat like me.

Misty poised for the chase.

Misty is baffled. How could Asa ignore her?
