Yesterday was National Walking Day, what better way to continue the celebration than by taking part in the virtual Pope Memorial SPCA 5K Dirty Paws Fun Run! Between today and April 10, 2021, the staff and volunteers of the Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County in New Hampshire invite you to walk, hike, or run in your neighborhood, on a trail, at a park, or even on a treadmill, to raise funds for their mission to help animals.
To participate, all your have to do is register, complete your 3.1 miles in the location of your choosing by Saturday, April 10, 2021, and share your photo/time to receive your medal! Registration is $25 per person, $75 per family, or for those who prefer a much slower pace and not walk at all, $15 for Cat Nappers! Once completed share your results/photos in an email to scamara@popememorialspca.org, and you will be eligible for prizes!
Prize categories include: For speed: Fastest Times Male & Female: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over. For fundraising: $125+, $250+, and $500+. For fun: Largest pack (one or more dogs joining you), Muddiest Paws, and Best Costume! Everyone who registers will receive a bandana, and those who email results will also receive a medal and will be entered to win prizes.
The Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County annually cares for more 1,400 homeless pets in need, as well as works with the community to help with other animal related issues including a pet food pantry, hosting low cost pet vaccination clinics, school-based programs for children, and assisting law enforcement with animal cruelty investigations in New Hampshire.
