This Veterans Day Weekend have a great time while also making a real difference in the lives of disabled veterans at the 6th Annual Walk and Wag for Veterans! Taking place this Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at Great Brook Farm State Park (984 Lowell Street, Carlisle, MA), the 6th Annual Walk and Wag for Veterans is fun filled day of music, food, family friendly events, silent auction and raffles, culminating in a tail wagging trail walk.
All proceeds will benefit Operation Delta Dog, a nonprofit organization with a mission to rescue shelter dogs and train them to work as service dogs for disabled veterans who suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The dogs get the homes they need, and the veterans get the help they deserve!
In addition to the scenic trail walk, for the pups there will be a Happy Hour Doggie Bar, and a demonstration by Flying High Frisbee Dogs. For the family there will be food trucks, music from Karlson & McKenzie from 100.7 WZLX, balloon animals, silent auctions and raffles. The event is FREE, and walkers are asked to make a donation to help make a difference in the lives of veterans. To register and learn more, please visit wagandwalkforveterans.org.
