Walking with Bon Jovi

WHAT?  Sorry I can’t hear you over Adolescent Asa’s caterwauling.  He is singing along to Mom’s Bon Jovi CDs.  Bon Jovi released their new album today, and it’s Mom’s tradition to play all their CDs to celebrate.  By my estimate that’s 258 tracks, and that’s not counting the DVDs and VHS tapes that she’ll watch too.  Paws crossed Asa doesn’t show her how to find more Bon Jovi videos on YouTube!  But I’ll cut Mom some slack because she’s missing Grandpa.  He took Mom to her first Bon Jovi concert decades ago.  However who I won’t cut any slack is Adolescent Asa!  Once again he insists on singing the wrong lyrics.  Here is Asa’s version of Wanted Dead Or Alive:

It’s all the same, only the days will change

Everyday it seems we’re walking this way

Another day where the mornings are so cold

I’d walk all night just to get back home

I’m a Golden, on a daily walk I go

I’m walking

Day and nighttime

Walking day and nighttime

Sometimes we hike, sometimes it’s not for days

And the Squirrels I see always run their separate ways

Sometimes you tell the day

By the time we get up and walk

And times when I’m not walking all I do is sleep

I’m a Golden, on a daily walk I go

I’m walking

Day and nighttime

Walking day and nighttime

And I walk these streets, a loaded poop bag at my back

Dad takes my poop, ’cause he might not make it back

I’ve been everywhere in this neighborhood

This street’s a million miles and I’ve walked them all

‘Cause I’m a Golden, on a daily walk I go

I’m walking

Day and nighttime

‘Cause I’m a Golden, I got Dad at my side

I’m walking day and nighttime

And I walk day and nighttime

I still walk, day and nighttime

Day and nighttime!

For the few of you who can’t hear Mom’s music blasting from our house or are simply tired of listening to Asa’s barking, here’s the original version of Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead Or Alive.  Now if you please excuse me, I need to steal Dad’s noise canceling headphones.

I seriously hope Jon isn't planning to walk me wearing those boots!

Listening to the music is one thing, but did Mom need to hang her vintage posters too?!
