Well This Is Embarrassing

Well this is embarrassing. I accidentally locked myself in the living room last night while investigating a disturbance in my neighborhood. It all happened around 3:00 AM, when our local Vixen got in another fight with her mate. If you’ve never heard a female fox screaming in the night, it can be quite jarring, especially when awoken out of a sound sleep. Startled, I instantly ran to the living room window to assess the situation. Well somehow in the process I accidentally hit the gate to the divider with my tail, and locked myself inside the living room. Awkward!

I did bark at Asa to go get help, but he’s no Lassie. Instead of helping me get Mom’s attention, Asa just laid down on the other side of the gate. Mom found us sleeping in these uncomfortable spots this morning. Oh and for the record, she did hear my barking in the night. However, because she is not fluent in Dog, Mom assumed I was telling the fox to stop screaming, which she may have also yelled in the night!

Thanks Asa for staying by my side, but remind me to never ask you for help in an emergency or a jailbreak.
