There is no denying the positive benefits of massage on pets. Dog massages reduce stress, alleviate the aches and pains of everyday life, increase flexibility and improve their overall wellness. Not to mention it is a wonderful way to bond with your dog. Also, on a personal note, I’ve seen first hand the positive benefit of massage when our Lemmy was seriously ill.
On Saturday, February 3, 2018 April Begosh will be teaching a Wellness Massage for Pets Class at Healthy Pets NH (70 Pembroke Rd., Concord, NH). April has been a massage therapist for the past 20 years and has recently started using her massage skills and experience with pets to help manage a variety of issues that pets can experience both physically and mentally.
In this class you will learn how to massage your pet with the intention of keeping them happy and healthy. The massage routine you will learn is designed to positively affect all the systems of your pet’s body leaving them with an overall feeling of well-being. April will also be teaching you how to read your dog’s response, and when it is and isn’t safe to do a massage. In return, you too will experience positive effects on your mood and emotions, and you will be rewarded with an undeniable bond between you and your furry companion.
The Wellness Massage for Pets Class will be taking place on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The cost is $50, and space is limited. Please register in advance. You may bring your own dog to practice on if they are well behaved and can remain so for the length of the entire four hour class, which includes lecture, demonstrations and hands-on practice. Stuffed demo dogs will be provided for anyone who chooses not to bring a pet with them. For more information and to register, please visit HealthyPetsNH.com.
