We’re Back from Our Bold Coast Adventure!

We’re Back! Getting Mom and Dad to unplug to recharge was a lot more more difficult than we anticipated. Therefore Asa and I were forced to take extreme measures. We rented a remote cabin along the Bold Coast Scenic Byway in Maine, where cell service was intermittent at best, and the only distractions were deciding which hiking trails to explore. This left Mom and Dad with no choice but to unplug, recharge, and focus on us!

Well truth be told, they didn’t completely unplug. Asa and I set up a few ground rules. Direction apps were allowed before setting off on each day’s adventure. Asa’s not very good at reading maps, so we needed to make sure Dad knew which way to drive. The weather app was also permitted because we did have a few stormy days, and we didn’t want to be caught off guard while hiking. And Mom was allowed to continue snapping photos. After all, it would have been a shame not to document what we saw on this grand adventure. And wow did we see a lot!

We climbed to the summits of mountains for spectacular views!

Were awed by the power of Mother Nature.

Marveled at sunrises…

…and sunsets.

Explored many winding backroads…

…lonely trails…

…and hidden coves.

And of course there was fetch, lots and lots of fetch!

Oh and we didn’t forget our original goal to slow down to recharge…

…even if Asa did break the no paws on the furniture rule!

But through it all, we missed you! And are happy to be back!

Stay tuned! In the coming days we will be sharing trail reviews and stories from our Bold Coast Adventure in Cutler, Maine!
