Why Didn’t They Bring Me, an Expert

Now I understand why Angel Chuck Billy was a stress eater. Why did Mom and Dad go to that appointment without me? They know I have the most experience with this type of thing. Yet here I sit, worrying and waiting, while Dad goes to his first eye exam!

What if Dad flops around like a fish out of water when they do the pressure test? Or closes his eyes real tight and refuses to open them when they try to put the drops in to dilate them? It sure would be awkward too, when the ophthalmologist leans in for a closer look, if Dad misunderstands and thinks the doctor wants a kiss! I’ve come such a long way since my first eye exam seven years ago. I don’t make those silly mistakes anymore….well most of the time I don’t. I still give a kiss when the doctor leans in for the exam, but that’s just me thanking the eye doctor for taking such good care of me. Since this is Dad’s first eye exam, he can get away with just a smile and a thank you. Oh how I wish I was there to remind Dad on proper eye exam behavior!

Oh good! I hear the garage door! They’re home! Please excuse me! I need to go find out how Dad did!

Update: All my worrying was for nothing! Dad did great! Mom said he was on his best behavior! I sure hope Dad got a treat from the eye tech for being such a good boy. I wonder if she sent one home for me too? Worrying does work up an appetite!
