Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue 30th Anniversary Celebration

On Sunday, September 20, 2015 Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue (YGRR) will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary with a luncheon and benefit auction!  Proceeds from the silent auction, live auction and raffle will benefit the important work they do helping Golden Retrievers.  There will also be a presentation by Andrei Markovits, author of From Property to Family: American Dog Rescue and the Discourse of Compassion, on the history of the breed-specific rescue movement of which Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue was one of the pioneers.

The event will be taking place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Hudson, MA.  To receive a special reduced rate on tickets, register by September 4, for the 2015 YGRR Benefit Auction and 30th Anniversary Celebration.  Lunch is included, so be sure to select your preference when purchasing your ticket.  Sorry, but please leave your dogs at home while you enjoy this fundraising event.  To learn more and to register, visit the YGRR website.

Since its formation in 1985, YGRR has found homes for nearly 5,000 Golden Retrievers in New England. The success of Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue has been the result of the efforts of hundreds of devoted Golden Retriever-loving volunteers.  Their mission is to provide comprehensive medical care, behavioral evaluations, and adoptive homes to homeless Golden Retrievers in the six New England states. Goldens may be admitted to YGRR from outside New England on a case-by-case basis.
