Zombie Puppy

Have you ever noticed how similar teething puppies are to zombies?  Let’s start with the obvious, they each have a desire to sink their teeth into human flesh.  Luckily Asa doesn’t want to eat Mom, but one look at her hands and you can see he’s tasted his fair share of flesh.  Next the awkward gait of their walk.  Sure zombies have the excuse of missing limbs and are rather stiff from rigor mortis, but puppies are also known for being a bit unsteady on their feet as they adjust to their rapidly changing bodies.  Watch Asa running after a frisbee and you’ll see what I mean.  And last but not least, both zombies and puppies are attracted to the slightest noise and movement.  I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve tried to lay motionless so that Asa wouldn’t detect me, only to have my whereabouts revealed by the slightest sigh or twitch.  Upon noticing me, Asa immediately pounces and starts biting me just like a zombie.

So this begs the question, why did Mom and Dad bring this dangerous little creature home to live with us?  What’s next, inviting a zombie to dinner?!
