12 Days of Springtime

In honor of the first full day of Spring, Asa wrote a song celebrating all that springtime in New England has to offer. This parody was inspired while on walk when we saw a wild turkey roosting in a pine tree. What better tune to use than the “Twelve Days of Christmas,” because it is about time that Spring has its own song. If you don’t feel like singing the entire song with Asa, I recommend scrolling down to the 12th day.

On the first day of Springtime
Mother Nature sent to me
A turkey in a pine tree

On the second day of Springtime
Mother Nature sent to me
Two tiny tulips
And a turkey in a pine tree

On the third day of Springtime
Mother Nature sent to me
Three Robins
Two tiny tulips
And a turkey in a pine tree

On the fourth day of Springtime
Mother Nature sent to me
Four forsythia

On the 12th day of Springtime

In case you’re wondering, the wild turkey was roosting in the pine tree to the right of Asa, but even he didn’t want to stick around for the end of this song!
