Now that spring has officially arrived, it is time for me to start planning the next leg of my Asa’s World Tour of Maine! This being my third year exploring places in Maine named after countries or world famous cities, I thought I should change things up a bit to add excitement. Maybe even draw attention to myself, to actually get an audience. Recently while visiting the L.L. Bean store campus in Freeport, I couldn’t help but notice they have a stage!

L.L. Bean attracts over 3 million visitors a year to their flagship store. I would be guaranteed to finally have an audience! Or at least a few polite and friendly folks, who would pause to watch for a moment, or maybe walk past me smiling. I can practically imagine all the cheering!

Then when the concert is over, I can drive to my next destination in the L.L. Bean Bootmobile! This is guaranteed to bring attention wherever I go! Can’t you just picture Mom, Dad, and me, driving around Maine in this iconic boot!

Oh, but it doesn’t look like it could hold all my gear. Luckily I soon spotted this camper, that is the perfect size to be towed by the bootmobile! According to the Today Show, pistachio is the “it” color this summer. This camper will instantly tell everyone I’m on trend, while the bootmobile shows I also appreciate the classics.

Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I couldn’t convince Mom and Dad, or even my manager Llily Llama, that this is the right move for my career. I’m not sure L.L. Bean would even agree to let me borrow his vehicle and camper. So I guess I’ll just have to make do with my current setup for Asa’s World Tour of Maine.
