A Day in the Life of a Chief Executive Dog

Today is Take Your Dog to Work Day! For the past six years I have been working from home as Chief Executive Dog. It’s my job to make all the major decisions, manage the daily operations, and oversee the work being done by my team. Fascinating, right? Therefore today I’m sharing a glimpse into the life of a CED.

My day begins with my commute.

Then I spend some time in my corner office thinking big thoughts.

After that I go check on my coworkers to make sure they are not slacking off…again.

I also have to watch my back, because there’s always an upstart aiming for my coveted corner office.

However, they quickly prove they can’t handle the complexities of it.

I never get a moment of rest, because someone is always wanting to meet with me, when it could have been handled in an email.

However, other times I jump right in and work as a team to get the job done.

It’s not all fun and games though. I have to keep a close eye on my office supplies. Otherwise a coworker could walk off with it.

As CED, do I want to leave work early and go out to play? Of course!

But I know it is my job to set a good example for Mom, Dad, and Asa.

So there you have it! A day in the life of a Chief Executive Dog! Happy Take Your Dog to Work Day!
