A Walk with Chuck Billy

Thank you for all of the birthday well wishes yesterday! As we continue my weeklong celebration of turning 11, please join me for a stroll at one of my favorite parks, Fort Foster. Asa didn’t join us that day, because I wanted a little alone time with Mom and Dad. Don’t get me wrong, I love having Asa on adventures. But as the middle pup sometimes it is nice to have their undivided attention, as we stroll along and reminisce about our 11 years together.

As we walked along the shoreline…

…we paused to pay tribute to my littermates, Miss Purple, Duncan, Bay, and Saffy, who celebrated their birthdays together over Rainbow Bridge this year, with our dear Momma Sage and Daddy Eclipse.

I then stopped at “my bench” where I’ve been posing for photos ever since I was a puppy on my first grand adventure to this park.

It was a surprise to see after years of being closed for repairs, the pier was reopened to walkers. They must have fixed it in celebration of my birthday.

Thank you Ziggy and family for providing “a place for paws to pause” on this bench along the pier, which is the perfect boost for pups to see over the railing.

Along the way I also paused by this life preserver, to remind my family that although I’m getting older, I’ll always be there for them when they need me…

…As we see where this grand adventure together continues to lead us.

Thanks for coming along on this stroll with me.
