Antique Show to Benefit AWS

For centuries pets have played an important role in families.  Here’s your chance to purchase a treasured antique while helping modern shelter pets in need.  Mark your calendars for the 89th Annual Kennebunk Antique Show and Sale on August 12 and August 13, 2017.  Not only will a portion of the admission sales be donated to the Animal Welfare Society, all money raised at the AWS booth will directly benefit the pets in their care!  Hosted by Goosefare Antiques, the event will be held at the Middle School of the Kennebunks (60 Thompson Road, West Kennebunk, ME) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, and from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, and includes booths selling everything from vintage linens, to priceless antiques, to jewelry and vintage collectibles, and everything in between.

Because all of the items at the Animal Welfare Society’s booth are donated, 100% of the proceeds from that table will benefit the animals in their care and programs.  Best yet, there’s still time to donate!  If you have high quality antiques, fun and unique collectibles, vintage items or small pieces of furniture, please consider donating them to AWS!  Please call Mona at (207) 699-9855 or send an email to antiques@animalwelfaresociety.org.  Volunteers will arrange for pick up or drop off of your items.  Please do not bring items to the animal shelter.

Celebrating their 50th anniversary of helping animals in need, the Animal Welfare Society is an open-admission No Kill shelter serving York County, Maine. AWS operates an animal shelter and adoption center in West Kennebunk and offers life saving community programs including Pets and Women to Safety, Paws in Stripes, Paws Across America, Humane Education, Behavior and Training classes and an in-house veterinary clinic.  AWS serves as the animal control impound facility for 21 municipalities in York County.  AWS is also home to the Cleo Fund providing spay/neuter assistance to individuals and feral cat colony advocates statewide.
