Can’t resist dressing your dog in a festive Holiday sweater? Want to spread Christmas cheer with your four legged friend? Then head on down to the 6th Annual Christmas Prelude Pooch Parade in Kennebunkport, Maine this Sunday, December 11, 2016. Once again the Portland Sea Dogs’ mascot, Slugger, will be leading the parade which forms at 10:45 AM at the Consolidated School (School Street/Route 9 East), and will step off at 11:00 AM, winding it’s way to Dock Square via Ocean Avenue, and finishing at the white columns house. Following the parade, dogs are welcome to get their photo with Santa and Slugger. All dogs participating will receive a treat, and our friends at the Animal Welfare Society will be serving hot chocolate.
Prior to the parade, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM come meet Annie Watts, creator of the 2017 “Dogs of the Kennebunks” calendar at Digs Divots & Dogs (2 Ocean Ave). All profits from the sale of the calendar will benefit the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk. Following the parade there will be a Pooch Parade After-Pawty from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at Scalawags Pet Boutique (3 Dock Square), who are the sponsors of this year’s Christmas Prelude Pooch Parade. Posh Celebrations authors, Posh and Susan Rogers will be there sharing party tips for Holiday parties with your pets.
