Crescent Beach in Wells, Maine is a small and rocky dog friendly beach. Please note that this beach is only accessible during low tide. However, if you’re looking for a no-frills beach that isn’t as crowded as others in the area, this is a good place to visit with your dog. The numerous tide pools are an inviting spot for timid dogs to cool their paws away from the thundering surf, and it is a good beach for a short walk on a hot summer day.
From June 16 through September 15, dogs are allowed before 8:00 AM and after 6:00 PM. Dogs must be on a leash. No dogs allowed between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM during the summer season. During the off-season, dogs are allowed all day. There is a small metered parking lot, however that fills up quickly with visitors to the adjacent Wells Beach.
