Dog Intelligence Chat

There has been a lot on the news lately about artificial intelligence, specifically ChatGPT. From what I gather, using AI technology, you can ask it a question and it will generate an answer in a conversation like format that can be used for anything and everything from compositions, to emails, to reports, to presentations. Intrigued, I decided to refrain from using DI (dog intelligence) to write today’s post, and instead use ChatGPT. The following is the result, as well as my analysis:

My Question for ChatGPT:

Write a funny conversation about two dogs seeing a UFO. One dog is named Asa, and the name of other is Chuck Billy. Chuck Billy is a serious dog. Asa is a goofy dog.

ChatGPT’s Response:

Asa: “Wowee wow wow, Chuck Billy! Did you see that flying saucer up in the sky? It must be aliens coming to visit us!”

Chuck Billy: “Asa, that is not a flying saucer, it’s a weather balloon. Can’t you tell the difference?”

Asa: “Nah, I think it’s definitely aliens. I heard they’re really into fetching and belly rubs. Maybe they want to play with us!”

Chuck Billy: “Asa, please use your brain. Aliens are not real and even if they were, they would not be interested in playing fetch with dogs.”

Asa: “You’re no fun, Chuck Billy. I’m going to bark at it until they come down and play with me.”

Chuck Billy: “I give up. Go ahead and bark, Asa. I’ll just sit here and roll my eyes at your foolishness.”

Asa: “Wowee wow wow! They’re coming closer! Quick, Chuck Billy, show them your best ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ commands!”

Chuck Billy: “Asa, I can assure you, that is not an alien spacecraft.”

Asa: “Oh well, maybe next time. Let’s go get a treat.”

My Thoughts on ChatGPT:

Alright, I must admit that it is surprising how accurately AI portrayed Asa. Of course he’d want to play fetch with the aliens! I’ve never heard him use the phrase, “Wowee wow wow,” but I certainly wouldn’t put it past him. Also the part about me rolling my eyes at his comments is a reasonable response. Therefore, Asa’s side of the conversation gets a passing grade from me.

However, OpenAI, who invented this chatbot, must be run by extraterrestrials, government agencies, cats, or all of the above, based on the use of a proven UFO coverup theory – a “weather balloon”! Everyone knows the Roswell weather balloon theory is a hoax! Then to brazenly say, “Aliens are not real,” is clearly an attempt to discredit me, Chuck Billy, the renowned Dog Ufologist, and my years of research.

Therefore, although ChatGPT is a tool that can generate a conversation acceptable for humans, it is clearly not as intelligent as ChatGR (Chat Golden Retriever). Specifically MY intelligence as an expert on UFOs is needed to refute artificial intelligence generated by a chatbot using outdated conspiracy theories, created by someone with an agenda.

As impressive as this tool is, I do not understand why humans are wasting their time on it and not focusing on creating a much more valuable tool of bark to text translation software. DI would provide much more useful information for humans than AI!
