Dog Parks – What You Need to Know

Spring is a great time to get outside and play with your dog. For many that includes a visit to a dog park. But is your dog ready? Do you know what to look for at a dog park to make the experience a positive one? Far too often signs are missed, dog behavior is misunderstood, and what should have been a fun day out ends up being the exact opposite. Find out what you can do to avoid common issues at “Dog Parks – Dog Behavior and Body Language – What You Need to Know” with Don Hanson of Green Acres Kennel Shop.

Developed by Certified Canine Behavior Consultant and Dog Trainer Don Hanson, the seminar will address what you need to know about canine behavior and canine body language to make sure your visit to the dog park is safe and fun for all. He will also provide you with a checklist that will allow you to assess: 1. if you are ready for the dog park, 2. if your dog is ready for the dog park, 3. the physical aspects of the dog park, and 4. the dog parks culture which includes the behavior of the people that make up the dog park.
