Finding Asa

All that snow yesterday got me nostalgic about Asa’s first winter.  In 2015 we received a record amount of snow, in fact it literally snowed every day for the first 16 days he lived with us!  I was convinced that Mom and Dad accidentally brought home a polar bear instead of a puppy.  But I digress. I’m going to let Asa in on a little secret about the Blizzard of January 2015 that he may not remember because he was so young at the time.

It happened just a few days after Asa joined our family.  Let’s face it, watching a puppy was a lot of responsibility that I may not have been ready for yet.  I was still days away from turning 3 years old when this incident happened.  Ok, I’m not going to lie.  Asa, I may have lost you in the snow.  Mom and Dad were busy playing that ridiculous shovel game where they move snow from one spot to another, only to have it blow back again.  Anyways, rather than keep a close eye on you, I may have been distracted by a blowing leaf, and lost track of you.  But don’t worry!  As you can see in this video “Losing Asa,” the story has a happy ending!  I obviously found you!

Cut me some slack, Asa is partly to blame for hiding!

Oh hi Mom! Nothing to see here, I’ve been keeping a good watch over Asa. Honest!
