Fool’s Golden: My Quest for Treasure

Blame it on all that talk about turning seawater into gold at Klondike Mountain in Lubec. Or maybe it was due to the pacing pirate ghosts that visited our rental cabin on that dark and stormy night. Regardless of the cause, I had treasure on my mind, and I was going to find it!

While posing for photos on that remote beach cove, I couldn’t help but notice something in the distance that needed further investigation.

“Are you positive this isn’t another one of your wild goose chases?” asked Asa, secretly hoping there would be a real goose involved this time, but resigned to the fact it probably didn’t.

Oh ye of little faith! Surely that is a marker for a long lost treasure!

“But where could it be hidden?” I pondered. “Here we go again,” Asa sighed.

Onward I searched.

Don’t look Asa, but I have found the gold!

Just act natural and give it a quick glance over my shoulder.

Stronger than even the hardiest pirate rum, my mind soon swirled with thoughts of what I would do with all that gold!

Avast me hearties, I will leave my mark and return under the cover of darkness to claim my treasure!

I can’t believe Asa doubted me. All the signs align!

Maybe the folks at Oak Island would like my expertise in helping them to find their treasure!
