Thursday Update: Asa and family would like to thank all of you for your love and positive vibes! He is feeling more like himself this morning, as his eye continues to heal. Asa is disappointed that he missed Halloween, and wanted to share with you the post he had planned before being rushed to the emergency animal hospital.
Please note the lobster photos were taken while we were on vacation. Who packs lobster costumes for a vacation?!!! Asa, that’s who! And the other costume photo was taken last weekend. Also please note that as ridiculous as I look in these costumes, I’d do anything to make my little brother happy. So without further ado, here is Asa’s big Halloween costume reveal….
Asa: Now Chuck Billy, I know, what you’re thinking. “Asa, I’ve seen this lobster costume before.” And you’re right, you have seen it. But up until now, we’ve only had one lobster costume. As my big brother, you’ve been very kind to let me wear it the most. For you see just like with real lobsters, dog Halloween lobster costumes are expensive. So I only bought one many years ago, with the promise that I’d buy a second lobster costume the following year. But alas, the next year no one had it! For years in fact, I’ve been scouring the internet looking for a matching lobster costume. Some places had lobster costumes, but it wasn’t as cool as this one. Other places had this style, but no way near big enough. However, my search has finally come to an end, and my promise is fulfilled. We are dressing up as Maine Twin Lobsters for Halloween!
Chuck Billy: This costume brings a whole new meaning to “lobster trap.”
Asa: Awww….I’m sorry it took so long, but you know I could never be shellfish and not include you!
Chuck Billy: Your snappy puns only add insult to injury.
Asa: I can sense you’re a little crabby. So just you wait. I have a second costume planned for us, and I have good omens that you’ll like it!
Chuck Billy: I’m starting to think this costume isn’t the end of the world. But the next one may be!
Asa: Surprise! We are Aziraphale and Crowley from one of Mom and Dad’s favorite books by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch!
Chuck Billy: Well at least with the dark glasses I can hide my identity in this costume! Happy Halloween!
