Ugly Sweater Party: Celebrate “hoppy” holidays at Foundation Brewing Company’s Ugly Sweater Party to support the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. Each partygoer will receive a contestant number and official ugly sweater ballot to vote. Prizes given to the top two ugly sweaters, as well as a special prize for best animal-themed sweater of the night. It’s just $10 per person to join the fun, and all ticket sales support the ARLGP! Plus, $1 of every 10 ounce pour from the night will support the animals. There will also be delicious food, holiday music, swag, and plenty of cheer! The fun takes place on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Foundation Brewing Company (1 Industrial Way Ste. 5, Portland, ME).

Ugly Sweater 4 Miler: Run/jog/walk to support the Manchester Animal Shelter at the Ugly Sweater 4 Miler! The event is Saturday, December 14, 2019 starting at 9:00 AM at the Backyard Brewery (1211 South Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH) Registration is $35 and all participants must be 21 or older. This is a chip timed event and will include finish line photo with Santa, quick results, snacks, and 1 Tito’s signature cocktail (ID must be presented), awards and MORE! The first 75 registrants will get a 2019 Tito’s Ugly Christmas sweater of their very own.
Pet Photos with Santa: We have a new addition to last week’s pets photos with Santa post. Santa will be taking photos with pets at the Alfred Waterboro Veterinary Hospital (1251 Main St., Waterboro, ME) from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon, for a minimum donation of $5 to No Bowl Empty Pet Food Pantry.
Tails, Trails and Ales: The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust invites you to learn more about their newest project: The Meadow Woods Preserve, at Tails, Trails and Ales. Learn about this 300+ acre preserve that will feature spaces for people, pets and pollinators, while enjoying delicious refreshments. Then hop aboard a trolly and enjoy a narrated tour through the soon to be preserve! The event takes place on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust headquarters (57 Gravelly Brook, Rd. Kennebunkport, ME), and the trolleys will depart at 2:30 and 3:15.

Christmas Prelude Pooch Parade: Can’t resist dressing your dog in a festive Holiday sweater? Want to spread Christmas cheer with your four legged friend? Then head on down to the 9th Annual Christmas Prelude Pooch Parade in Kennebunkport, Maine this Sunday, December 15, 2019. Once again the Portland Sea Dogs’ mascot, Slugger, will be leading the parade which forms at 10:45 AM at the Consolidated School (25 School Street, Kennebunkport, ME), and will step off at 11:00 AM, winding it’s way toward Dock Square to Ocean Avenue and Union Street, and finishing at the White Columns. Following the parade, dogs are welcome to snap a photo with Santa and Slugger. Our friends from the Animal Welfare Society Parade Brigade will be marching, look for them in their matching bandanas! Santa Photos at Woof Meow: Our apologies to Santa that we left this event off of last week’s Pet Photos with Santa List. Sillie Puffs will once again be offering great photo packages all to support Woof Meow charities. The event takes place on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 12 Noon to 3:00 PM at Woof Meow’s Derry, NH location (19 Manchester Rd.)
