Pet Photos with Santa 2019

Santa loves helping animals in need.  In the upcoming weeks Santa will be making the rounds in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts to pose for holiday pet photos with dogs and cats, all while helping local animal rescues, shelters and pet related nonprofits!  For more information, please click on the highlighted name of the organization who will be receiving the proceeds from this great holiday tradition.

Lucky Pup Rescue: Santa Claus will be taking photos with pups at the 2nd Annual Santa Paws Fest this Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Vinegar Hill Music Theater (53 Old Post Road, Arundel, ME), as part of Lucky Pup Rescue’s 4th Annual Adopt-a-Tree Festival.  This event includes trees and wreaths beautifully decorated by local businesses and supporters, being raffled off to support Lucky Pup Rescue.  There will also be activities for the whole family, including pet photos with Santa, decorating a gingerbread dog, and special gifts for sale.  Can’t make it on Saturday?  The festival continues on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Animal Welfare Society: Jingle + Mingle at the Animal Welfare Society (46 Holland Rd., West Kennebunk, ME), from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Not only will Santa be there to pose for photos with pets, but the Snow Sisters will also be there spreading holiday cheer! In addition there will be movies and crafts for the kids, unique holiday gifts, festive snacks, and great raffle prizes. Please bring your own camera or smart phone to snap the perfect photo with Santa and friends!

Pope Memorial Humane Society (formerly CVHS): PMHS has recently opened their brand new facility and they want to celebrate with you and your pets! Portraits with Santa will begin at 12 Noon and go until 2:00 PM. There will not be any formal time slots but as long as you are in line before 2 PM they will make sure your pet portrait is taken! Portraits are $20 for one digital image and all proceeds will go towards helping the shelter animals at Pope Memorial Humane Society (221 County Farm Road, Dover, NH).

Humane Society of Greater Nashua: Who says going to the vet’s can’t be fun? The Animal Hospital of Nashua (168 Main Dunstable Road, Nashua, NH) will be hosting their annual pet photos with Santa event this Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All photo proceeds go to help homeless shelter pets at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.

Animal Rescue League of NH: This is an appointment only event on Saturday at the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire. To reserve your time slot with Santa, please contact Charlotte at (603) 472-5788. Professional pet photos taken by Jane Button Photography for $25 includes a link to digital photos available for download.

Lowell Humane Society: Holiday Bazaar and Pet Photos with Santa will be taking place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday at the Lowell Humane Society (951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA).  Get a digital copy of your pet’s photo with Santa for $15.  A link to your images will be emailed within 72 hours.  Is your pet reactive around other animals or nervous with people?  You can email LHS to make arrangements for your pet photo to be scheduled at a time for you to enter through a different entrance to avoid the hustle and bustle.  There will also be holiday gifts for the pet lovers and pets on your shopping list.

Northeast Animal Shelter: Paws with Claus at the Mass Veterinary Referral Hospital (20 Cabot Rd, Woburn, MA) on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For a $10 donation to the Northeast Animal Shelter you will receive 1 4×6 photo. There will also be gift wrapping available for donations ranging from $1 to $10.

Dog Orphans, Inc: Santa will be posing for pics at Gibson’s Natural Pet (994 Grafton Street, Worcester, MA) on Saturday from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM. For $25 your purchase supports Dog Orphans, Inc, a nonprofit, no-kill shelter. There will be two photo packages available.

Worcester Animal Rescue League: Maggie’s Foods for Pets (67 West Boylston Street, West Boyloston, MA) will be hosting their annual pet photos with Santa from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. For a $10 donation per party, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Worcester Animal Rescue League and Neady Cats No-Kill Shelter. You will receive downloadable high quality digital files of your photos, and are welcome to take as many cell phone photos as you’d like as well. Have a pet or family member with special needs? Send them a message and they will do their best to accommodate an earlier time.

Phinney’s Friends: Santa will be posing with pets at Loyal Companion (620 Constitution Ave, Littleton, MA) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM to benefit Phinney’s Friends, a small Massachusetts nonprofit based in Lincoln, MA, that helps low-income people keep their pets by providing financial assistance and pet care.  Pictures with Santa are $20 ($10 for each additional pet), and you’ll receive your best portrait via email. For additional $5, you can enter the contest to win a dog gift basket worth $150 in pet treats, toys and other supplies. The cutest, best-dressed pet will also win a prize.

There will also be vendors there selling the perfect gifts for the dog lovers on your shopping list. The fun takes place on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

MSPCA Nevins Farm: Head on over to Assembly Row (431 Artisan Way, Somerville, MA) for your pet photo with Santa to benefit the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at Nevins Farm. Choose from a digital photo for $10 or a digital photo and a 4×6 print for $20.

Salem Animal Rescue League: Hosted by Loyal Companion (517 S. Broadway, Salem, NH) on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, your pets can get their photos with Ol’ Saint Nick while helping to support the animals being cared for by the Salem Animal Rescue League.

Mainely Mutts Animal Rescue: Take Five Dog Care (122 Mast Road, Lee, NH) will be hosting their 3rd Annual Holiday Photos with Santa from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Sign ups required! And spots are filling quickly! Bring a donation for Mainely Mutts Animal Rescue in exchange for holiday photos of your pup.

Lucky Pup Rescue: Be sure to schedule your time with Santa for the 11th Annual Pet Photos with Santa to benefit Lucky Pup Rescue hosted by Super Dogs & Cats (380 Elm St., Biddeford, ME).  Santa will be there from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Pictures are $10 each and will be emailed. If you would like a printed copy as well, it can be available for pick up on Monday, December 16, 2019 for an additional $5.

No Bowl Empty Pet Food Pantry: Santa will be taking photos with pets at the Alfred Waterboro Veterinary Hospital (1251 Main St., Waterboro, ME) from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon, for a minimum donation of $5 to No Bowl Empty Pet Food Pantry.

Ann-imals Pet Supply: Sillie Puffs will be taking your pet’s photo with Santa Claus at Ann-imals Pet Supply (1 York Street, York, ME) from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A variety of photo packages and backdrops will be available with proceeds to benefit a local animal rescue. Please note: all pictures are taken against a green screen so you can choose your background, but please remember not to wear green!

Old Dogs New Digs: Head on over to Bayside Bark (211 Marginal Way, Portland, ME) between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM for your chance to get your photo with Santa while helping Old Dogs New Digs. Pictures are $10 each with 100% of the proceeds going directly to help senior dogs in need of vet care. Kristen Michaud with Lead the Way photography is generously donating her time again this year.

Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue: Come and get a picture of your dog (Golden or not) with Santa to help raise funds for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue! Bring your pup by to meet Santa at Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue (110 Chapin Road, Hudson, MA) from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  While there stop by their Golden Goodies store for unique Golden Retriever themed gifts.  Have a scared or reactive dog? No worries!  Call YGRR at 978-333-7081 to make an appointment with Santa when no other dog is around.

Great Dog Rescue New England: Santa and Mrs. Claus will be posing for pet photos on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the GDRNE Kennel (34D Holton Street, Woburn, MA). Please bring your own camera or cell phone. For a suggestion donation of $10 to $20 to benefit Great Dog Rescue New England, the volunteers will use your camera to take the pictures for you, or if you do not have a camera, they will email you a photo from their camera.
