Hops and Hounds 2018

This Saturday enjoy a cold adult beverage, watch an exciting dog dock diving competition, and pamper your pooch, all while raising awareness for local animal shelters and rescues at the second annual Hops and Hounds!  Presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, this dog friendly event takes place on June 16, 2018 from 12 Noon to 5:00 PM at the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum in Eliot, ME (2077 State Road).

This event features activities for dogs including contests, pampering, hydration stations, fenced in dog park, and dock diving.  Hops and Hounds is an official competition site for Seacoast Dock Dogs, and is open to all dogs regardless of breed, size, shape, ability, or age to participate.  Pre-registration for the dock diving competition is $27 per team for adults and $12 per team for youth.  For the competition schedule and to pre-register visit Seacoast Dock Dogs.  There will also be on-site registration for the dock diving competition $30/$15.  While at Hops & Hounds, be sure your dog visits our friend Jenn Schaff for a Pampered Paws K9 Massage, and pick up the latest must have dog summer fashions at Annabelle’s Kookies table!

For the adults there will be a beer garden featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka Signature Drinks and Craft Beers from Funky Bow Brewery.  In addition there will be delicious food, live music, shopping, and all kinds of giveaways, samples and coupons from your favorite brands and stores.

The biggest stars of the day will be the the many local animal shelters and rescue organizations on-site.  Organizations that will be participating in Hops and Hounds include 3 Dogs Rescue, Animal Rescue of Kennebec, Animal Welfare Society, Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association, Catahoula Rescue of New England, Cocheco Valley Humane Society, Connect A Pet New England, Dogs on Deployment, For the Love of Dog Rottweiler & Pitbull Rescue, Friends of Willow (rabbits!), Granite State Raw Rescue, Greater Derry Humane Society, Hero Pups, Long Island Bulldog Rescue, Lucky Pup Rescue, Maine Greyhound Placement Service, New England Bassett Hound Rescue, NH SPCA (dogs AND farm animals!), Old Dogs New Digs, Piscataqua Obedience Club, Tall Tails Beagle Rescue, The Green Ark, The Silver Paws Project, and York County Animal Response Team!
