Intergalactic Tourist Weekend

Asa here. While Chuck Billy, the renowned Dog Ufologist, goes around accusing cats of being Martians, I’d like to share with you my own theory.  It is based on my experience after witnessing a UFO over my neighborhood Tuesday night.  Ok, well I didn’t spot the UFO, per se.  I just happened to be looking at a bat in the direction of where the UFO was hovering, and it was Dad who noticed it.  Anyways, based on what Chuck Billy has taught me, it is obvious that this is Intergalactic Tourist Weekend!

The annual Perseid Meteor Shower will be at it’s height this Saturday and Sunday.  As Chuck Billy insists, Aliens use this yearly event to hide their ships as they enter Earth’s atmosphere.  As you also know, thanks to his recent post Closer than You Think, this year these intergalactic tourists will be even more prevalent.  This is due to Mars being closer in orbit to Earth at a mere distance of 35.8 million miles, making it a short commute between our two planets.  So I agree with Chuck Billy that UFOs will be everywhere this weekend.

Therefore, on Tuesday night it really wasn’t a surprise to see that UFO masquerading as a red dot high in the sky just beyond the tree line.  Ok, maybe it was somewhat of a surprise.  I didn’t expect to see that on our last trip out for the evening.  Even Chuck Billy didn’t believe his eyes at first.  He thought that I was mistaking Mars for a UFO.  However, it was in the wrong area of the sky for it to be that planet.  He also thought maybe we saw “The Hulk Comet.”  After all on Tuesday it was scheduled to make it’s closest pass in our inner solar system at just 70 million miles from our planet.  However, it is supposedly green in color, hence the name, not to mention comets move really fast.  This mysterious red dot in the sky wasn’t moving at all.  In fact, the bright red dot stayed motionless in one spot long enough for Dad to run inside to get Mom.  Then remained there for Mom to run back inside to get her camera, and return to snap a few photos of it hovering in the same spot.  However, just as Dad went in to get binoculars, the red dot moved in a perfect square, and shot straight down behind the trees!  So that defeats Mom’s speculation it was a plane, and based on the height Dad doubts it was a drone.  Chuck Billy immediately panicked and ran to our UFO bunker.

Here’s where my perspective on UFOs differs than Chuck Billy’s.  Ancient Aliens theorist, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, has taught me to keep an open mind.  Aliens may not necessarily be a threat.  Perhaps they are on a harmless mission to do a little intergalactic sightseeing?  After all, this isn’t the first time that UFOs where seen on a sightseeing trip to Maine.  It happened before back in May 2016 when a UFO was spotted over Portland just before Memorial Day Weekend.  Check out this dash cam video Sgt. Tim Farris of the Portland Police captured while on duty on Congress Street.  Sure the American Meteor Society declared it to be a harmless meteor, but we know the truth.  Besides, I really can’t help but feel Chuck Billy and I are responsible for encouraging their long distance space trips.  The Aliens are simply tourists interested in enjoying all the Dog Friendly Places that we have reviewed on our website.

Regardless of what I think though, Chuck Billy is making me stay in his bunker in an undisclosed location this weekend.  However, if you happen to be out and about, keep an eye to the sky!  You may meet a new friend.

Look closely. Do you see that red dot? That’s what was hovering over our neighborhood Tuesday night! (Taken on as far as Mom’s zoom lens goes.)

Ruh! Roh! Looks like one of the Intergalactic Tourists missed his ride home!

Chuck Billy: Has anyone seen Mom since Tuesday night?  Asa: Ummm no, but she’s definitely not behind you. So don’t turn around! Haven’t seen any Aliens in our bunker either….honest!
