Let Sleeping Office Dogs Lie

Dogs, have ever been falsely accused of sleeping on the job? Believe it or not, despite working very hard supervising Mom and Dad, they routinely make this accusation. So today we are defending our actions, so that our coworkers will think twice before rushing to judgement again!

Here we are demonstrating the classic, “this meeting should have been an email” pose. Our time is valuable! Don’t waste it on such nonsense.

Sleeping? Nonsense! This is our “think tank,” where we are concentrating on solving an important issue. The saying “two heads are better than one” is more than just an old adage, you know!

We all know Asa isn’t good at telling time. Here he arrived too early for a meeting with me in my corner office, and accidentally fell asleep waiting. I, of course, have better things to do than meet with Asa about his silly ideas, so was off doing important things.

This pose I like to call “the power struggle.” If anyone dares disturbs Asa, while he is deep in thought, he could accidentally pull the power cord on the computer. It’s best to leave him alone to think. Although on other days, this comes in handy to end work early and get out of the office.

And finally, if our coworkers do not accept these valid reasons for resting our eyes, there’s always the “what the heck are they doing” pose. We may have been caught napping on the job, but at least they have something to discuss.

As we all adjust to the time change this week, please remember the wise adage of “let sleeping dogs lie.”
