Recently someone asked me what was the first song parody Asa wrote. That distinction goes to “I Want a Rock,” originally shared on February 26, 2016. Technically this was more of a situation of Asa mishearing the lyrics to Twisted Sister’s iconic rock anthem, “I Wanna Rock,” than an actual song parody. Like all adolescent puppies with an obsession to eat rocks, Asa thought he knew everything, and wouldn’t listen. Regardless, this is when Asa got the writing bug, and has dreamed of being a rockstar ever since.

Whenever one turns up, I’ve waited for so long so I could eat my favorite rock I won’t let it go! Go! Go! Go!
When it’s like this I feel the urge shootin’ through me
There’s nothin’ else that I would rather chew
