Love Is in the Mail

Love is in the air this month, and with your help it can be in the mail too! Our friends at No Bowl Empty 2 Pet Food Pantry in Maine are having their annual Valentines Fundraiser. Between now and February 14, 2026, they are asking friends to mail No Bowl Empty 2 a Valentine’s Day card with $1 in it. That’s it! The cards can be bought or homemade. It is an affordable way to make a big difference, because all those dollars add up.

The money raised will go towards the winter expenses of running this all volunteer food pantry for pets, including snow removal, ice melt, and heating, to ensure safety on food distribution days, and to make deliveries and drop-offs of donations easier.

It will also go to Charlie’s Cherubs Fund, to aid families with the cost of euthanasia, because every pet deserves a peaceful and dignified passing. In 2025 they provided euthanasia assistance to 17 families, and so far this year 7 families have made that heartbreaking call asking for help. This is all in conjunction with their main mission of “Helping to feed your furry family members in tough times,” because “No one should be forced to surrender their pet because they are unable to afford pet food.”

If you would like to join us in supporting this Valentines Fundraiser, cards can be mailed to

Or if you prefer, you can make a donation through Venmo: @nobowlempty2, or PayPal: nobowlempty@outlook.com.

Be sure to follow along on Facebook or Instagram, for photos of the cards received, along with a running tally of funds raised.

Just imagine if even half of my friends on social media sent $1, what a big difference that would make in helping No Bowl Empty 2 Pet Food Pantry! Thank you for your support!
