New England Golden Jubilee 2018

Mark your calendars because on May 19, 2018 Golden Retrievers from throughout New England and beyond will be partying at the 4th Annual New England Golden Jubilee!  They will be gathering at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, Vermont with a purpose; to support the critical research of the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, to honor the important mission of Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, to remember special Golden angels, and to celebrate what it means to be a Golden Retriever!  According to the organizers of the New England Golden Jubilee, Sandra and Peter Lok, “The mere presence of a Golden Retriever, their soft fur, wide smiles and soulful eyes, helps to enrich our lives.  The New England Golden Jubilee is about helping to enrich the lives of these beloved beings.  We’ll celebrate their very presence and indulge their playful spirits with pure Golden Fun!”

The day will be filled with games, swimming, hiking, blessing of the animals, food, doggie dancing…and endless games of fetch!  Goldens will also gather in front of Dog Chapel to pay tribute to their dearly departed family and friends who crossed Rainbow Bridge.  Oh and be sure to buy your raffle tickets for the Kibble Cup Auction to benefit Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue!  Each dog who attends will receive a gift bag of goodies.  Also you can proudly show your support for this great event with limited edition t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts with New England Golden Jubilee Apparel!  $5 from every clothing purchase will be donated to the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study/Morris Foundation Canine Lifetime Health Project.  In short, the New England Golden Jubilee is pure Golden bliss, all for a good cause!  Need more convincing?  Then read our post written after attending last year’s jubilee.  It truly is a day filled with Golden Moments and Mischief!

So what are you waiting for?  Register now!  Registration is FREE, but monetary donations to help cover the cost of the New England Golden Jubilee are most appreciated.  All remaining funds will be donated to the Morris Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.  Last year over $1,600 was donated!  New and gently used dog/Golden Retriever items for the Kibble-Cup Auction are also very much appreciated.  Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue.  In fact, last year the auction raised $2,000 for Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue!  To learn more about this Golden celebration including dog friendly hotels in the area, and to register, please visit New England Golden Jubilee, and be sure to follow them on Facebook for all the latest updates!
