Pet Food Drive for Unpaid Government Workers

As the government shutdown continues, please consider donating pet food and other pet supplies to your local food pantry or pet food pantry. In our community, Footprints Food Pantry in Kittery, Maine is offering support to any government employee in Kittery or Eliot affected by the shutdown. To help stock their shelves, the Petco on 1465 Woodbury Ave in Portsmouth, NH is hosting a pet food drive!

On Saturday, January, 19, 2019 the Woodbury Ave Petco will be accepting donations of dog food, cat food, and food for smaller animals, as well as other needed pet supplies. If you can’t make it on Saturday, don’t worry! They will be collecting food from now until they deliver it to Footprints Food Pantry this Tuesday. Please note: at this time only the Woodbury Ave Petco is accepting pet food donations for workers affected by the shutdown.

If you are a government employee in Kittery or Eliot affected by the shutdown who needs food for your family, you are invited to come to the Footprints Food Pantry located at 37 Old Post Rd, Kittery, on Wednesdays 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM and Thursdays 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
