Seacoast Paddle for the Pups 2021

Pups, grab your paddles and mark your calendars for Seacoast Paddle for the Pups to benefit the New Hampshire SPCA! Whether you use a standup paddle board, kayak or canoe all are welcome to participate in this hybrid event, taking place on Sunday, August 8, 2021. For those interested in participating in-person, there will be a 3 mile recreational paddle along the Squamscott River, starting at the Saltonstall Boathouse at Phillips Exeter Academy. Members of the Seacoast Paddle Board Club will be gathering at 12 Noon, and starting at 12:30 PM. Virtual paddlers are welcome to join in on the fun anywhere on the body of water of their choice. Just be sure whether you’re in-person or virtual to use the tag #SUPPupNH so that we can see everyone having fun participating in the 2021 Seacoast Paddle for the Pups for NHSPCA!

Registration is FREE! All they ask is for a donation to benefit the animals at the New Hampshire SPCA. Fundraising is especially encouraged, and there are great prizes. For a donation of $100 receive a limited edition Seacoast Paddle for the Pups t-shirt. Raise $200 or more and you’re eligible for prizes from Jetty, Cinnamon Rainbows Surf Co., MTI Life Jackets, Ohana Kitchen, and more! 100% of the proceeds will benefit the mission of the NHSPCA, so please any amount donated will make a difference for homeless and helpless animals in their care.

New to aquatic adventures with your pup, or just want a safety refresher? There’s also a free webinar with tips and tricks to help you have a safe and fun time while you paddle with your pup. Please note that “All paddlers attending in-person must wear proper safety equipment including a personal flotation device (PFD). In addition to a PFD, all paddle boarders must wear a leash (no, not a dog leash, a SUP leash).” Remember to never tie your dog to the boat, or make them wear a leash while paddling, but dogs should wear life jackets. Dogs are welcome to participate, but are not required. For more information and to register, please visit Seacoast Paddle for the Pups at NHSPCA.org.

Asa and I definitely need to watch the free safety webinar before setting out to support Seacoast Paddle for the Pups.
