Strange Days Ahead

Here’s the situation. Mom needs to have minor surgery tomorrow. She assures me that she’ll be alright. However, this leaves me with no choice but to let her take some time off as my administrative assistant. Therefore, I only have two options: Continue to write the blog myself while I let Asa take care of Mom. Or put Asa in charge of the blog until Mom is feeling better, while I assume responsibility as her caregiver.

It is with great reluctance that I will be handing over responsibility for our posts to Asa for the next few days. After all, Mom is very important to us. I really don’t want to delay her recovery by forcing her to listen as Asa practices his standup comedy routine on her.

Please bear with us for the next few days. Asa’s posts may be on time, late, or not at all. I also cannot be held responsible for what he shares. Asa promises that he will be going with favorite old posts, as oppose to writing new ones. But there’s also the possibility he’ll just share selfies. I’ll try to check in when I can. However, between taking care of Mom, and making sure Dad continues to maintain the lifestyle that I enjoy, I’m going to have my paws full for awhile!

Chuck Billy: We thank you for your patience during this time and apologize in advance for anything Asa posts.
Asa: Why are we making such an important announcement from the beach?
Chuck Billy: Studies show it is good to break disappointing news in a calm environment.
Asa: Disappointing? Mom’s going to be better than ever, and I finally have my wish to run this blog!

CB. I think it is very generous of you to appoint Asa to carry on with the blog. After all, mom probably needs your undivided attention at this time, and you will be rewarded with the satisfaction of having sacrificed something you loved for mom. While Asa is young and a comedian. – we have seen some of his antics – he will no doubt rise to the occasion of carrying on in your absence. CB you must remember you have big paws 🐾 to fill and it is hard to be the baby brother to an over achiever. Prayers for mom’s speedy recovery. With love from your friend, Yoshi, and his moms in Texas.
