The Cocheco Valley Humane Society’s 21st Annual Tails to Trails Walk for the Animals will be this Sunday, May 31, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The event will be held on the lawn of the Strafford County Courthouse in Dover, NH just a short distance from the shelter.
This year’s event will feature demos, vendors, food, raffles, adoptable animals, and, of course, the walk for the animals. The walk will take place along the trails near the shelter, and include the 1-mile loop pass through the woods and along the Cocheco River. A shorter 1/2 mile loop along the road is also available for walkers looking for easier terrain. There will also be lots of fun activities for your pet, including an obstacle course and dog talent contest.
The Tails to Trails Walk is the biggest fundraiser of the year to support the work of the Cocheco Valley Humane Society helping animals in Strafford County, NH and Southern Maine.
