The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland invites you to join them for their virtual Shelter Sleep-In to raise money for the dogs and cats in their care. Originally the 19 contestants participating in the event were each going to spend the night sleeping in the kennels and cat room at ARLGP. However, due to the increase in covid cases in Maine, they are now taking the entire event online with a Zoom party instead!
Although everyone participating are doing it to raise money for the shelter, let’s be honest, they are all very competitive. Each participant is in it to win it, and have the bragging rights of most money raised! To help them reach their goal, you can read about each team and their pets at ARLGP.org, and then donate. Don’t want to play favorites? You can also make a general donation to the event.
While there, be sure to register for the Zoom party, to be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There you can meet the teams and their fluffy friends in person, watch as they award the top fundraiser and announce the final total. They also have prizes for to Sleep-In donors, as well as puppy and kitten cams.
Not interested in the zoom party, but want to join in on the fun? Then tune in to ARLGP on Facebook between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM when they’ll be showcasing highlights from the event. Every hour they will hold drawings for our Sleep-In donors to win prizes from home, a virtual best decoration contest, and lots more!
