Weird Week in Maine

As a renowned Dog Ufologist, even I admit this has been a really weird week in Maine! On Wednesday a minor 2.3 magnitude earthquake rattled folks living just north of Rangeley Lake. Then on Wednesday evening a meteor was spotted over Ellsworth Harbor Park. Both relatively minor events on their own. However, there’s more! Earlier in the week a 300-foot-wide ice disk was spotted slowly rotating in the Presumpscot River in Westbrook. When did it stop spinning counter clockwise? On Wednesday, of course! But the odd events don’t end there. A second mysterious ice disk was spotted yesterday at Baxter State Park. When taken all together you have to ask yourself, is this a coincidence? My answer is a resounding, NO! Aliens are gearing up for the Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse on Sunday night! In fact, they’re already here!

Local meteorologists would like you to believe that this Unidentified Floating Object is simply a natural phenomenon caused when a block of river ice breaks free and gets caught up in spinning currents. I, too, fell for this simplistic explanation, until I heard of recent research conducted at the University of Liege in Belgium. They found that “temperature changes in the water below a small ice disk could be the source of some of the rotational force. When the water cools to 39.2 degrees, it begins to sink and creates a vortex in the water, producing a small force that spins the ice.” Wait, did they say, “vortex?!” As you know from my previous posts on UFOs, Aliens can’t resist a good vortex. This isn’t an ice disk, this unidentified floating object is a UFO! Nice try Aliens trying to hide it in plain sight by using the same initials!

Now you have to ask yourself why would Aliens park their UFO in the middle of a river in Maine? The answer is twofold. First, as discussed in my post Alien Tourists Invade Maine, extraterrestrials can’t resist vacationing in Maine. Secondly, as you know from my post Closer than You Think, Cats may be Aliens from Mars. Therefore, the rare Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse has them on edge, and they can’t resist watching it from their favorite state. After all, the Martian Cats are obviously jealous that Wolves have a moon named after them, and there aren’t any moon phases named for Cats. Or at least none that I know of at the moment. I admit I’m not a fan of things named after Cats, so I haven’t researched it.

Anyways, brace yourselves because things are going to get even weirder in the night sky on January 20, 2019, with a rare Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse. What makes this lunar phenomenon, which would also be a great name for Asa’s band, so unique? It’s simple, not only is it the only total lunar eclipse in 2019, the combination of a Super Moon, Blood Moon, Wolf Moon, AND and lunar eclipse all happening at once will only happen three times during this century! No wonder the Aliens wanted a front row seat from their UFO to watch it.

Problem is they really should have planned their viewing party better. Because although the Super Blood Wolf Moon Lunar Eclipse will be visible from anywhere in the United States for approximately one hour on Sunday night, as well as in South America and parts of Europe and Africa, there’s also a major snowstorm on track to strike Maine on Sunday. Therefore chances are it won’t be a clear night for viewing the eclipse. Besides, unless they launch their UFO out of the Presumpscot River before that storm, the Aliens run the risk of missing it all because they will be busy shoveling out their UFO.

As a Dog Ufologist, I can’t predict what will happen on Sunday night. But between the earthquake, meteor, ice disks, snowstorm, and lunar eclipse, I can guarantee this is not your typical week in Maine!

Who said winters in Maine are predictable and boring?
