Asa, how many times must I remind you to not eat the dandelions? Our honey bees need the pollen! I know you’re obsessed with eating your leafy greens, but this is the exception. If you continue this behavior, you’ll give me now choice but to put you in the penalty box! Sure it is Dad’s raised garden, but if you recall, it made a very good playpen when you were younger…

My Peaceable Kingdom (May 18, 2015)

At last there is peace in my kingdom!  Dad built a puppy playpen for Asa!  Oh sure he’s calling it a “box garden.”  But only a naive puppy would fall for a silly excuse like that.  Box garden – HA!  Growing boxes is the most foolish thing I ever heard of, especially considering we have plenty of boxes in the attic!  Why would we need to grow more?

Clearly this is a puppy playpen.  This will make my life so much easier!  No more pesky puppy biting at my ears or stealing my toys.  Nope, now when we go outside I simply need to lure Asa into the playpen, close the side, and settle in for a relaxing afternoon of sunbathing with a good stick.  No more getting bullied!  Thanks Dad!
